In the time since then, the Senator has kept his profile reasonably low on the national level. He has become known as the Senator that does not take questions from the national media. He has also made net neutrality, opposition to tort reform, and opposition of the Comcast/Time Warner merger three of his many priorities over his freshman term. This strategy seems to be working quite well for him in regards to his re-election bid.
All polling up until this point give him a double digit lead in most of the polls over all of his potential opponents. The Cook PVI for MN right now sits at D+2. While his margin of victory is unlikely to be equal to that of Senior Senator Amy Klobuchar in 2012 of 34.7%, this seat should be a safe bet to stay blue in 2014.
